Community Review Guidelines

Our guidelines ensure reviews on Rightly Rated remain helpful, authentic, and fair for everyone.

What We Encourage
  • Write based on a genuine, firsthand experience within the past 12 months.
  • Be specific: detail delivery speed, product quality, or customer support interactions.
  • Provide constructive, honest feedback that helps fellow consumers and the business.
  • Upload clear photos of products or receipts to earn the Verified Purchase badge.
  • Update your review if the business resolved your concern via our Resolution Center.
What We Prohibit
  • Do not post reviews on behalf of competitors, employers, or personal affiliates.
  • Do not post hate speech, slurs, profanity, or harassment targeting individual staff.
  • Do not post personal contact details (phone numbers, private addresses, credit cards).
  • Do not use reviews for extortion or demand refunds in exchange for 5-star ratings.
  • Do not post AI-generated or copied boilerplate feedback.

How Reviews Are Moderated

Reviews are submitted directly to the public profile. If a review is flagged by our automated anomaly filters or by the business with substantiated evidence, our independent moderation team investigates within 2 business days. Reviews are never removed simply for being negative.
