Odeon & UCI Cinemas Group is Europe’s largest cinema operator, owned by AMC Theatres since 2016 and operating over 290 cinemas and 2,500 screens across the UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain, and other countries. The group operates under the Odeon brand, often featuring premium Luxe experiences, and holds a leading position in major European markets. It was formed through the merger of Odeon and UCI, both previously acquired by Terra Firma in 2004. It features IMAX, Dolby Cinema, and other high-tech, large-screen experiences. The first Odeon cinema was opened by Oscar Deutsch in 1930 in Birmingham, England.
