Transmission Company Of Nigeria

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) is a government-owned company responsible for transmitting bulk electricity from power generation companies to distribution companies in Nigeria. It is also involved in grid development, maintenance, and system and market operations, though the latter have been separated into a new entity, the Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO). TCN was established in 2005 after the privatization of the national power authority and operates across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
